Alex Brandt Montalbini is inspired to create a new generation of living spaces that dramatically enhance the health and comfort of their occupants. Before founding Amelio, he worked as a structural engineering professional with some of the world’s top firms. Based in Chicago, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi, he collaborated with international architectural practices on large-scale developments all over the world. A Bergamo, Italy native, Alex earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Southern Illinois University, and an MS in Structural Engineering from Stanford University.

Dr. Parham Azimi serves as Amelio’s Chief Scientific Officer, investigating the indoor environment’s impact on occupant health and wellness and strategies to improve it. Parham is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Healthy Buildings Program at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His research interests exist at the intersection of indoor air quality (IAQ), public exposure and health, transmission of airborne diseases, and energy performance of buildings. He earned a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. Parham is an active member of technical committees, panels and working groups with ASHRAE (including the ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force), UL Standards, and AAAR (American Association for Aerosol Research).

Rossy Dreis is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing through buildings by paying close attention to both the physical and psychological impact of buildings on their occupants. She champions an interdisciplinary evidence based human-centered approach in all phases of the building lifecycle. Rossy’s experience spans acquisition, development, design, construction, and management of buildings from healthcare facilities and data centers to residential towers and coworking spaces. Rossy earned a Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Psychology from Syracuse University.

He has experience in design, construction, consulting, and project management as well as in building certifications, writing guidelines, education, and R&D activities related to health & wellbeing, materials, sustainability, technology, and innovation. Amit worked on several research projects related to the European Horizon 2020 program. He taught at the Politecnico di Milano for several years and is now a visiting lecturer. Amit earned his Master degree in Architecture and Urban Design and Master degree in Sustainable Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano.

She earned an M.Sc. in Structural Engineering from Islamic Azad University and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from A.B.A. University.

Kit is a registered architect with diverse design and construction experience on large-scale master planning, mixed-use, transit-oriented, civic and institutional projects. Kit was raised in Hong Kong and has practiced architecture with design firms in Asia, Europe and the United States working with local clients and collaborators giving him an international perspective and cultural sensitivity. Kit earned a BA in Architectural Studies from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and is completing his MBA degree at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Christian Beaudoin is a Managing Director of Research, Strategy and Site Selection at JLL. He has a passion for innovative building design. His real estate experience encompasses design, development, acquisition, asset management and strategy. He has been involved in all phases of the real estate life cycle, from market research and analysis to design, construction and disposition. Christian has worked in Chicago, Zurich and Hong Kong. He earned his BS and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
